     Title: What a year... six Showcase awards
The Saskatchewan Motion Picture Industry Association (SMPIA) announced the winners of the 2009 Showcase Awards at a gala ceremony in Regina last night.

Interpersonalities took home three awards, Mad Cow Sacred Cow won two and Landing Season 2 won one.

Interpersonalities received award statues for Dramatic Direction (Aidin Nakhai), Performance - Male Lead (Jessie Froese) and Performance - Male Supporting (Joshua Beaudry).

Mad Cow Sacred Cow won a Class Award for Documentary: Science/Technological/Nature/Environment/Adventure and Non-Dramatic Direction (Anand Ramayya).

Landing Season 2 won a Class Award for Cultural Diversity.

A shout out to Surveillance, produced by Stephen Onda Productions and Lago Films, for capturing the most awards of the night with four and The Englishman's Boy, produced by Minds Eye Entertainment, that also won three.

The gala was held at the Casino Regina Show Lounge and was hosted by Victor Sawa. It also featured Jack Semple and the True Jive Pluckers.
